The Ranxo Mestres is situated in a typical Catalan farmhouse set in the 1300s just outside the Montnegre Park. It is an easy access to the urban area and few miles away from Santa Susanna Hotel area, a modern and tourist attraction area. Santa Susanna has been awarded the family tourism destination by the Generalitat de Catalonia.

We have a wide range of stables, bar service, spacious grounds, a mini zoo with animals such as rabbits, ducks, hens, emus, dwarf goats, etc. There is also a magnificent cellar where visitors have the opportunity to view and sample the different types of country wine.

You can enjoy the breathtaking natural environment while at Ranxo Mestres. It is a perfect leisure getaway for family and friends.

All these activities are carried out throughout the year. The schedule is from 10.00am to 7.00pm during summer and 10.00am to 5.00pm at winter time. We provide approved safety helmets for all horsy activities. These helmets can be obtained from the front counter. We will provide all relevant information to visitors for all riding adventures. We welcome any suggestions/feedback from you. Walks on horseback Enjoy one hour of pleasure of horseback riding and adventure trail into the forest, guided by a trained instructor. The young riders can ride around the ranch with an adult. Price: One hour horse walks – horse riding: 15 € Half hour horse riding: 9 € Walking with a donkey If you want something for a little different, try walking with a donkey. You will be fascinated by these gentle creatures. One hour ride: 15 € Carriage and wagon rides If you want some relaxation and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, sit back and take a horse drawn carriage or wagon trail through the forest and meander along the streams of Santa Susanna river. Horswagon ride : 10 €/person (minimum 3 people) Summer outings For schedule of summer outings, tickets can be purchased from all tour operators and travel agencies. This package includes a return ticket from various locations of Tossa, Lloret de Mar, Blanes, Malgrat de Mar, Santa Susanna, Pineda de Mar and Calella, a welcome drink, the horseback walk, or a horse drawn carriage for an hour, sangria and cool drinks, a visit to the mini zoo, taste of wines from the cellar and participate in the pony-rodeo. The schedules for these outings are from Easter Week until the end of October, and only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays afternoon. We do have special schedule for groups as well. Youth group outings All groups will be given a welcome drink. A visit to the mini zoo with accompanied guide who will give a brief description about the animals. Lunch will be provided at the Ranxo facilities, regardless of inevitable rain showers. There will also be some games and prizes to be given away. We do the typical Catalan custom “Castanyada”, a chestnuts meeting around the chimney during Halloween. Price: For Youth : 12 € Food and Beverages Enjoy our bar service and taste our local food. We serve the following, advance booking: Breakfast: Toasts with two sausages with aioli (a typical Catalan garlic mayonnaise) and a drink (wine, water or cold drinks). Price: 12 € Child Breakfast: Toast with one sausage, aioli and a drink (water or cold drinks) Price: 6 € Lunch:Salad and grilled meat with toast and aioli, drink (wine, water or cold drinks), dessert and coffee Price: 19 € Child Menu: Sausage or ¼ chicken with fried potatoes, drink and dessert. How to get there

If you drive from Barcelona from the C-32 road, you are to exit in number 22:Calella-Pineda de Mar-Santa Susanna.
Drive along the A-2 (previously N-II) until you reach Santa Susanna, make a roundabout to the village centre once you find the petrol station and the McDonald’s.
Keep driving (Carrer del Bou street) until you reach Colomer Park and drive alongside of the stream of Santa Susanna river.
After one kilometre drive, you will pass the highway and you will find us within few metres.



If you drive from Girona by the A-2 (previously N-II), turn to the city centre from the first roundabout after you reach the commercial area called Carrefour.
You will reach the Colomer Park and just drive alongside the Santa Susanna river until you reach Ranxo Mestres.
